A Certified Practitioner of Applied Improvisation, she completed Levels 1-6 at The Peoples Improv Theater in NYC, and the Musical Improv program at the Magnet Theater in NYC. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Group Psychotherapist and creative arts therapist, she presents on applications of storytelling and improvisation in clinical and educational settings to groups, organizations and conferences around the country. She is a New York State-approved provider of Continuing Education for social workers and is an adjunct faculty member for UC-Berkeley Continuing Education in Behavioral Health. She has been interviewed by major media outlets about storytelling, creativity, and mental health for NBC News, LI Pulse, Newsday, The Orlando Sentinel, The List, Woman’s Day, Chicago Tribuneand others. Academic writing includes articles published in the International Journal of Arts In Psychotherapy Special Issue on Addiction and Special Issue on HIV/AIDS, Music Therapy Perspectives, Recovery Press, and the New York State Clinical Social Work newsletter.
